Oh, the trials and tribulations of striving for perfection! This outfit was one of those moments where I learned firsthand what "no compromise" truly means. Just look at it—this gorgeous sample, with its soft fabric and delicate trim, was everything I could have hoped for. The first sample was gorgeous with such a delicate trim, it was everything I could have hoped for. But alas, it didn’t make the cut. Mother, with her ever-discerning eye, decided that the quality of the trim wasn’t up to her high standards, and into the bin it went.
I was so upset—this piece had so much potential! But I’ve come to understand that when it comes to craftsmanship, there are no shortcuts. Mother is all about excellence, and she wouldn’t let anything less than perfect leave her hands.
The good news? She’s found an even better trim, one that meets her exacting standards. That is the one in the photos. I must say, it’s stunning.
